Silleda welcomed us with open arms! Aquafuture Spain 22 was a great event, with more than 11.000m2, 150 companies from 23 countries, all them linked with aquaculture sector.
Sea cucumbers are now harvested in more than 80 countries, therefore it is necessary to actualize the Guide of commercial sea cucumber species edited in 2012 by FAO, including the new target species and countries catching them.

Our project Identification and assessment of sea cucumber stocks from Murcia Region (SE Spain) led by Dr. Mercedes Wangüemert, as director of the WANGUMAR SLU company, has been considered one of the best examples of “good practices” according FAO and EU criteria.
